Oppose HB 97 and SB 95 in New Mexico

If enacted, HB 97 and SB 95 would allow for municipalities to enact regulations as they see fit. This means that from town to town in New Mexico the selling of tobacco could look very different. And in some cases, municipalities could see that no retailers can operate within their district through product restriction and prohibitions. This legislation needs to be stopped before confusion and changing regulation hurts premium cigar retailers. Legislation that cedes state authority to localities could create confusion and regulatory uncertainty. Take a few minutes to contact your state lawmakers to take a stand and make your voice heard!
