If enacted, HB 97 and SB 95 would allow for municipalities to enact regulations as they see fit. This means that from town to town in New Mexico the selling of tobacco could look very different. And in some cases, municipalities could see that no retailers can operate within their district through product restriction and prohibitions. This legislation needs to be stopped before confusion and changing regulation hurts premium cigar retailers.
