Oppose Characterizing Flavor Bills in Maine

Maine L.D. 1693 and H.P. 1258, as introduced, will have a sweeping ban on all tobacco products that have a so-called ‘characterizing flavors’. These bills were introduced by Representative Talbot Ross, and cosponsored by Senator Vitelli. The language in these bills could be implemented to reduce or remove many premium cigars due to the notes of flavors people get from premium cigars. Bills like these are popping up in a variety of states to restrict consumers choice and hamper small business retailers to ultimately prohibit the sale of legal products to legal adults.

As a Maine retailer you need to send the message below to your legislators and educate them on premium cigars and what vague legislation like L.D. 1693 and H.P. 1258 would do to your business. Make your voice heard and protect premium cigars in Maine!
